Homeowners Association
The Villas of Stockbridge Homeowners Association, Inc., is the Homeowners Association (HOA) for Villas of Stockbridge. The HOA functions both as the legal governing entity (a not-for-profit Florida corporation) and the overall property manager for our community. We are a deed restricted community. The legal definition of the Association, along with the community’s Covenants (Declarations, Articles, Bylaw, and all Supplements and Amendments, easements, HOA Simplified Rules, and the ARC Guidelines and Hurricane Protection Specifications) are outlined within the Villas of Stockbridge Governing Documents available on this website. The HOA’s purpose is to maintain the common property, oversee the business activities, and enforce the Governing Documents of Villas of Stockbridge.
An elected, unpaid, and all volunteer Board of Directors governs the HOA and the day-to-day management of the community. Several standing and ad-hoc committees assist the Board of Directors in carrying out their duties by overseeing various functions. Since the Board approves and oversees all committee activities, a Board member may be assigned as Chairperson for each committee and if so, is responsible for keeping the Board up to date on the committee’s activities.
Association Committees
Generally, the ARC and Compliance Committees meet monthly. The Social Committee, Holiday Decorating Committee, and Nominating Committee meet only a few times each year. Meeting schedules for both the Board and the committees are available on this website.
The Architectural Review Committee (ARC)
The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is responsible for reviewing homeowner requests for exterior architectural and landscape changes to their property. Property owners may not make exterior changes to their property without approval from this committee. All exterior property changes must be approved by the ARC prior to beginning any exterior work.
Compliance Committee
The Compliance Committee has the authority to confirm or reject proposed fines and suspension of use rights as described in section 720.305, Florida Statutes. The Committee applies and enforces the Governing Documents equally with everyone. Their work helps ensure that the community is a quiet and beautiful place to live and maintains property values and standards.
Social Committee
The Social Committee is responsible for organizing events for the enjoyment of residents to foster a sense of community as approved by the Board of Directors. These events include, but are not limited to, holiday and special events.
Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee reviews the Board yearly, considers Board candidates, and makes nominations to the Board of Directors in advance of the annual homeowners’ meeting.
Holiday Decorating Committee
The Holiday Decorating Committee is primarily responsible for decorating the community for the Winter Holidays. We are always in need of volunteers for this committee to both put up and take down decorations each year.
What our residents are saying
Con amor,” (English translation: “It was a privilege to have been a part of this community we loved so dearly. For 24 years, we enjoyed our paradise. But, due to our age, we had to move in with our daughter. Yet you will always remain in our hearts. With love,” Susie and Noel Laboy
– “This has easily been the best community and best running HOA I have experienced. Big thank you for that.” Salim C.
– “Living in Villas of Stockbridge has been a wonderful experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better community to call home. The amenities here are truly outstanding—the pool is simply beautiful, and the pond with its tranquil fountain creates an oasis that brings such peace to the neighborhood. The newly updated tennis and pickleball courts are also fantastic additions that I enjoyed immensely. The HOA team here is fantastic—always helpful, attentive, and quick to assist whenever needed. The community itself is made up of people from all walks of life and all ages, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel safe and connected. Everyone here truly cares about keeping our neighborhood beautiful. The location is unbeatable, with a wide range of shopping and dining options nearby and easy access to Central Florida’s best attractions and beaches. I will miss living here deeply, and I’ve made so many lasting friendships in this wonderful place. But as I move on to the next chapter in the mountains, I will always cherish my time at Villas of Stockbridge.” Heather W.
-We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all our neighbors who have put up bright and cheerful holiday decorations on their houses! Normally, we enthusiastically (and without failure) decorate our home for most holidays- Christmas, New Year, July 4th, Halloween – and for Raiders football games! This year, Christmas decorating is not possible while our property is being repaired from the November 6th garage fire. The number of houses that are decorated in the neighborhood this year, and for this particular holiday, seems to be much greater, and the quality and level of creativity are noteworthy and wonderful. We just want to say “Thank you neighbors” for sharing your holiday spirit… it is very much appreciated. Norris and Lisette Madkins
